Alright, I'll start. My favorite film of Clara's is It. I think Clara was so likable and touching in this film. She could make you giggle in some scenes and cry in others. Of course, it's a very fun film too

There are 9 Clara Bow films that are my favorites: DANCING MOTHERS(1926), THE PLASTIC AGE(1925), MANTRAP(1926-great film, great character actors in Ernest Torrance and Percy Marmont ;D), IT(1927-Well, DUH!!! ), MY LADY OF WHIMS(1925), HELEN'S BABIES(1924-I know Baby Peggy personally ;D), EMPTY HEARTS(1924-I do wish they release that film on DVD; it's got a great death scene by Clara),CALL HER SAVAGE(1932-WOW!!!; That film packs quite a punch! ), WINGS(1927) and finally, HOOPLA(1933-great final performance). -Dario.

I recently bought that double feature disc of The Showoff (with Louise Brooks) and The Plastic Age. I still have to watch it, but I'm sure it's a really good one. I bought Call Her Savage, but haven't watched that one yet either :-\

Oh, you must watch those three films, especially THE SHOW-OFF(1926)and CALL HER SAVAGE(1932). ;D The latter film really packs a powerful punch! -Dario.

I'm very limited as to how many of Clara Bow's films that I've seen- she's more someone I read about. Today it was the film Twinkletoes, whichI have haven't read alot about. I came across Mantrap too while reading. Are both films good ?

Thanks.
I'm trying to find rewrite on the silent section of my Danish film page, so I'll probably be able to swerve into films of the twenties easy.....sometimes I look by year.
(By the way... Westcoast Video at the Galleria is gone. Honestly, I'm never down there, not even when the weather's nice. But then again I haven't seen Square once in the past two years.)
I'll look again for Mantrap.

I don't think I've been to that Westcoast video. I've found some films at the Brookline Booksmith in their cellar, where they have the video rentals. They sell their previously viewed films for pretty cheap there, but there aren't many Clara Bow films that have been released on video either

Hi, I added a quick reference to It and linked your Clara Bow proboard to my webpage- I didn't use a photo link. www.geocities.com/lord02141/scottlord12.htmlMantrap and It are the two films mentioned near your link so far. It's a middle page and the writing is sticky...it's mostly filmography and I need to add enough to revise ito something more like paragraphs. Plus the page needs to be split in half; your Clara Bow link is at the bottom due to it being chronological. You've got me listed as a Bow beginner, which I am, but I've been Dario's reader for a long time. Clara Bow only made films untill 1933? She was incredibly famous untill Wings, so I'm wondering if The Lost Generation, The Silent Film and Clara Bow and pre-Code all faded at right about the same time? I'll check a filmography. Thanks again, L*ve, Scott

Hi Scott, Thank you for the link! That's very kind of you The "Bow Beginner" thing is just a rank that these message boards have, according to how many posts you make. Originally, it was something like "new member" or "junior member," but I thought I'd make it something Clara-related

You've never heard of TWINKLETOES(1926), Jess? It's a great Colleen Moore film that must be seen. Colleen is really good in this, her last release of 1926. ;D -Dario.
