In which film that you've seen, do you feel that Clara gave her best performance? I want to see some more of her films before I give my opinion, but from what I've seen, I'd probably say Wings. ♥

IT(1927)has got to be Clara's showcase. If that film isn't her best performance, I don't know what is. Her other great performances including the death scene in EMPTY HEART(1924), MANTRAP(1926-great performance by Clara, Ernest Torrence, and Percy Marmont), DANCING MOTHERS(1926-a highly overlooked Clara Bow film, with a great, subtle performance by Alice Joyce), and CALL HER SAVAGE(1932-WOW!!! Explosive performance). -Dario. ;D

I just saw that scene from Empty Heart, in that documentary that was on TCM the other day. It was just a clip, but I started to cry. She's just that touching. ♥ How could I have forgotten to mention It??? I think her role in Wings was really touching, but that she wasn't on screen enough In It, she definitely has such a great ability of going through all the different emotions. She's a flapper, a shopgirl, but she makes you feel giddy when she's giddy, and sad when she sad too

I saw EMPTY HEARTS(1924)at the SILENT MOVIE theater in Hollywood back on Saturday, October 1st, 1994. You should have seen the whole film, when Clara appeared in the scenes that she's in. When I saw that death scene in EMPTY HEARTS, I almsot cried. It was that good. Then, after that film was shown, I finally saw IT(1927)for the first time. Boy, was that film ever so fun to watch the first time, especially the scene where Clara socks Antonio Moreno's girlfriend in the yaht scene. ;D -Dario.

I think you'll really like it, Kathrine. Clara is actually not onscreen very much, considering that she's the star, but it's a stunning film

She isnt? Oh what a downer. When I saw her on an Edith Head documentary I just had to watch her movies. She liked wearing belts that didnt match with dresses or something.. She just had her own sence of style! She is the best. Shes so cute in "IT"

Aw, well I think you'll still like it. I guess it's just that the film takes place mostly in the fighter planes and where the soldiers are stationed, so there aren't too many girlies around
